JIMS Presents VERVE 2020- BIGGEST TECHNO MANAGEMENT CULTURAL FEST

JIMS has always been a symbolic institute which displays its superiority in everything they do. But besides this JIMS also gives a wholehearted chance to their students to explore their ways and enrich the numerous talents they’ve had on the grand platform called ‘VERVE’.

‘VERVE 2020’ is the JIMS annual fest organized by the cultural society of JIMS. This two-day fest is the congregation of all the colleges in and around Delhi, where students have a glorious chance to grab the opportunities and participate in different events and activities. The heavy and overwhelming response and participation of more than 5000 students from PAN India encouraged us to organize ‘VERVE 2020’.

Do you think your moves can hype people up? Do you have it in you, to express it all in your dance? If you’ve got your own style, moves filled with confidence and expressions to die for then what are you waiting for? 2. Participants are required to carry their own pen-drives.

3. The time limit should not exceed 3 minutes.

If you think you have the talent to make people feel million emotion with just your voice and your expressions, this is your platform to showcase it. If you think you can bring just mere words to life, this is your platform to showcase it. Bring up your props, your team and your talent to this stage and enjoy.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. One team from each college/institute.

2. Maximum 15-20 members.

3. Time Limit should not exceed 10 minutes.

4. Script and choreography have to be done by the participants.

5. No mics will be provided.

JIMS Presents- LET’s ROCK: THE ROCK BAND COMPETITION

You’ve got an electric guitar, a bass guitar, a drummer and a person who can make you rock the world with his/her awesome voice, then what are you waiting for. Pack up your stuff and come over for a night no one can ever forget. This is the night for rock battles, one better than another; loud cheers, screams and a whole lot of hours for people to dance. Come on and own the stage.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The time limit should not exceed 20 minutes. [10 minutes for stage setup and 10 minutes for performance]

2. Theme- HINDI/SUFI/ENGLISH ROCK

3. Two best teams and One best performer will be awarded.

1. TOPIC- “GROWTH vs JOB”

2. Maximum 1 team allowed from each institute/college.

3. Each team will comprise of 2 members. (1 for the motion and 1 against the motion.)

4. Time allotted to each participant will be 4 mins + 1 mins.

5. Mode of language: only English.

6. 3 Best teams and 1 best speaker will be awarded.

JIMS Presents- INTER COLLEGE FILM FESTIVAL

Films have always been a way to communicate with a big mass. Films bring mere scripted words into life and if you think that you and your team have that talent; talent of making people feel what you want to feel, the talent of giving a beautiful message in just a few minutes then what are you waiting for. Give out your entries.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Only 1 entry of 5 members will be allowed from each institute/college in each of the following categories:

Documentary (10-15 minutes)

Fiction (10 minutes)

Quickies (20 seconds-2 minutes)

2. THEME: SOCIAL ISSUE

3. The film can be coloured or black and white.

4. The film should be submitted on DVD either as a data file or as DVD video file by February 20^th, 2020.

5. The film should have been produced, directed, and edited by the students only.

6. Title of the film, name of the producer/director and year of production should be mentioned on a DVD all in the forwarding letter.

7. 2 best films will be awarded in each category.

Your talent in making websites and attracting people to your website is now being put to test. So, prove yourself here and beat others in your speciality. Design your websites.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. A team comprises of 2 members allowed from each institute/college.

2. Time limit: 2 hours.

3. All the participants will be assigned a topic on the day of the event.

4. Participants can use Photoshop, Corel DRAW, Dreamweaver, HTML or Flash.

5. Website design static/dynamic page.

6. Final webpage should be based on any web language.

7. If code is copied from any other website then it will be rejected.

8. 3 best teams will be awarded.

JIMS Presents- CHILL PHOTOGRAPHY

Capturing a moment in a frame- is this your talent? Can your photograph can say a thousand words? Can it tell a tale which words fail to do? If yes, then register yourselves; so people can see your photography skills.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Each individual can give 1 entry on any of the category below:

2. The photograph should be 8” x 10” size on either Glossy or Matte Finish.

3. Name of the participant's institute/college and contact number should be mentioned at the back of the photograph.

4. All the entries will be displayed in a gallery.

5. Decisions will be taken on technical and aesthetical grounds by the judges and will be final.
